Came here to have dinner and watch fireworks for fourth of July! If you are looking for authentic quality Chinese food, you must come here! The options are endless, from honey walnut shrimp to steamed Chilean sea bass. They also have plenty of dim sum options as well but be advised to come early! They always have a big line on the weekends! The restaurant has a great view of the bay area as it sits right on the bay of Emeryville so perfect sight to catch on lunch or dinner!

Overall, really liked this place. Food was good. We were lucky enough to get a table near the window with a beautiful view of the bay & the city. They told us 30 minutes wait. They we're very organized and our table was available sooner. They had push carts with food and also ordered off of menu. dim sum is delicious and seemed very authentic. I could imagine the wait can be very long, but we lucked out this day. Sadly, I was too busy eating so I forgot to take any pictures of food. There's also a nice walking path along the water take a stroll before or after dinner.

I was really excited to try this place for dim sum and I'm glad I did. Everything was great and they had a large selection of all your favorites and even things I've never heard of. I think all of us were expecting carts to make their rounds but that wasn't the case and we weren't given any direction on how to order. It took us about 30 minutes to figure things out on our own. The service was horrible and I questioned if they were just being rude or didn't care for us but overall the quality of the food was great and I'm just chalking the service as a cultural difference and poor communication. I highly recommend walking off your food along the water. Gorgeous. Will come back now that I know what to expect.

Oh, my little pony! I have never had fresher or better quality EVER!!! Not even in Beijing or Shanghai, and certainly not in our little farm town in Monterey County! I grew up eating dim sum in San Francisco so I know dim sum! Recently, a girlfriend said that she didn't know I spoke Cantonese. I told her I only speak food language! We pretty much had the old standards of siu mai, har gow, baked cha siu bao, gao Choi gao and baked cha siu turnovers. I also ordered the cucumbers in ginger sauce and the mango pudding based on the reviews I read. I cannot tell you how delicious and fresh the food was. Fergawdsakes, even the siu mai had shrimp chunks that literally snapped with freshness. Super plump and juicy! The gao Choi gao (chives dumpling) had a wheat noodle rather than a rice noodle but again, the shrimp just popped as well as the water chestnuts. The chives can smack of ammonia if not fresh and these were amazing! All of the wrappers were so delicate and never overpowered the filling! The ginger sauce with the cucumbers was enhancing rather than overpowering and was accentuated by the fried garlic garnish. Both the cukes and the mango pudding were taste sensations! Regarding the service... I think that the main clientele is Asian. White folks are unicorns. Ya gotta do what the other folks are doing. Be polite, but be persistent. Now, that being said, we ordered the S&P oysters but they never arrived. That was fine because we ordered way too much anyway. The location, I believe, is the old Solomon Grundy's. Great views of SF, and TI, but not as pretty as Moss Landing with the seals and otters. I will definitely be back!

My wife's side of the family is up in Northern California to celebrate my niece graduation graduating from UCSF School of Pharmacy. This makes 3 out of four family members and relatives that have graduated from UCSF School of Pharmacy. The only one not is my daughter who graduated from Northeastern Bouve School of Pharmacy. We decided to get together for dinner near our hotel. We've eaten at Hong Kong Ocean Seafood several times. The food was very good. The seven of us to eat there tonight. All the dishes were very good. The stirred fried Chinese broccoli was the exception. They added sugar to given it a sweetness taste to it. It was not necessary. It made the dish taste a bit weird for me. I didn't expect that. The service was below average. We ordered extra lettuce for the lettuce wrap. All through the dinner, they never arrived. Yet, they charged us $6.00 when it came to paying the bill. We complained about it. The head waiter took the $6.00 off the bill. DJ's rating: 4.15/5.00 Would I come back? We think so.

Dimsum with a beautiful view! Prices aren't cheap though, since you are paying for those views. Seriously, this restaurant has the best views I've seen yet for any Chinese restaurant in the bay. It's located right along the water in Emeryville. I really enjoyed this location because it was nice to go for a walk along the water after stuffing myself :D I came by for dimsum Saturday morning right at 10:30 when they opened. We had a large group of 9 and were able to try a variety of items from the menu. You mark what you want from the menu and they'll bring it to you. We tried a variety of items and in general everything was pretty solid. My favorites were the wu gok (fried taro dumplings) and the chang fun with crispy shrimp, but I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Prices are very expensive here. Even basic dimsum fare like siu mai costs $8.85, and one order of har gow costs $9.90. Because we had a larger group, that helped even out the costs a bit and our bill came out to $33 pp after tax and tip.

I can't say enough about the wonderful solution of dim sum that they offer as well as regular entrées for dinner. In case you don't know it they have full dinners at this restaurant and are equally known for their dim sum served day and night. The atmosphere is always lively, and the view is $1 million view watching the sunset over San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. There's plenty of help here to make sure that your order gets to you quickly and there's a flurry of activity of other people that are joining you in your epic delights .
